Persistence in Civil Appeal: The client Joseph Weinberg brought a diversity action case against his former employer, Valeant Pharmaceuticals North America, LLC, alleging employment related claims. The district court granted a summary judgment in favor of the employer. Weinberg appealed on the grounds the district court erred in granting summary judgment. On behalf of the Appellant and before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, the Appellate Law Firm put forth a strong, compassionate argument that the district court failed to properly apply California’s incapacity-tolling statute.
